About The Luli

What is there to say? At present I am a 24 year old uni student, studying journalism. I live in Melbourne.

This is what it is. There is no category or angle I’m coming at you from. At best it is experimental journalism fused with personal opinion and experience. At worst it is the whining of a moody brat. Sift through the bullshit and you might find an idea worthy of contemplation..

    Hey,

Thanks for commenting on my blog! I can see why our common enemy (Jacco Fashion) stole your material. You’ve got something impressive going here. Well take care!

  7. LuLi Says:

Thanks for that Edward, glad you came for a look. I was pretty outraged by Jacco Fashion.

    Hey Luli,

Nothing You Confess Could Make Me Love You Less – I like it! It appears that you are a Geelong girl so I can put this theory of yours to the test. I must confess that I am an Essendon supporter…

Thanks for checking out the blog!

  9. LuLi Says:

Oh no! They’re like the evilest villain team ever! Yes, I am a Geelong girl through and through.. Cheers for coming past, your blog was well worth the visit 🙂

  10. Den Says:

This blog is unique! Don’t worry if sometimes your posts may provoke contemplation from some readers. It happens to me most of the time.

  11. LuLi Says:

Thank you for the compliment! Contemplation is good for blogs, but I would be quite sad if I received some of the comments I’ve seen over your way. Its good you have the attitude to keep going despite what anyone thinks.

  12. Den Says:

Well, I told them that I’m not a columnist. I’m a blogger and they always have the option to hop to the next blog that suits their way of thinking.

I’m going to link this on my blog. I hope you won’t mind.

  13. LuLi Says:

No, not at all, I welcome linkage! 🙂

  14. Marty Says:

I’ve just had a skim of your stuff from over the last six months or so, I like!

  15. LuLi Says:

    Aw, nice, thanks Marty!

  16. O'Maolchathaigh Says:

This picture reminds me of Princess Leia.

  17. LuLi Says:

Oh, what a compliment.. I don’t see it personally, but thank you Terry. 🙂

  18. This Devil's Workday Says:

I just bought the book “Tell Me No Lies” by John Pilger. Have you read it? It’s a collection of some particularly groundbreaking investigative journalism.

  19. LuLi Says:

Hey, I haven’t but I want to. Pilger is a good journo.. I have a big stack of books to get through, but I might get that one and bump it up the list. I googled it before and it mentions the 1982 massacre in Lebanon, which is a sore spot for me in that it never gets coverage, so I’m pretty interested in checking it out. Let me know how it is?

  20. Reuben van Bemmel Says:

Just because everyone else’s having their two cents, I thought I might say something…but I’ve forgotten now… 😉

  21. This Devil's Workday Says:

Clearly doing a lot of study there Reuben. Oh wait… I’m meant to be doing the same thing…

  22. LuLi Says:

    Reuben, think harder!

TDW my about page is not a place of procrastination!

  23. This Devil's Workday Says:

Don’t pretend you have a say in that. Btw I’m catching up to you on Facebook 😛

  24. This Devil's Workday Says:

    Stupid emoticons.

I’ve come to the conclusion that I can’t possibly do anymore study. Sure I only did 2.5 hours today, but the exam is open book and I don’t even have answers to the past exams that I have, so other than reading them and getting the gist for what I have to do, what’s the point? And as for my other two exams which are not open book, what’s the point in studying for them since it’s Sunday and I still have all week to do so?

Ahh… this is a good place for procrastination. Back to watching Scrubs on the big soft couch.

  25. LuLi Says:

I know I hate that you’re catching up so fast, its annoying! Scrubs is way better than studying any day of the week, so I’ll let you hang around 😀 I just got home from a massive trip for the funeral.. what a drainer, but good to catch up with ppl. Can’t wait to get drunk for cup day!

P.S. Are you rationalising not studying for me or for you? Coz you know I’m more for the partying than the studying 😛

  26. This Devil's Workday Says:

I’m rationalising not studying for me. I always do it. Even if I want to go out or something, “well.. I could probably do with the rest so I don’t burn out”.

Yesterday’s exam went better than expected, kind of like the first one, so rationalising is doing well.

I’d say they’re easier than in the past coz our uni has all of a sudden decided that exams should only be two hours instead of three, which means the questions are shorter, dumber, and there’s less of them. Unfortunately my final two exams are NOT open book, no calculator is required, so I actually have to know my shit (and Friday’s exam is a good old fashioned 3 hourer). How’s your stuff coming along?

I figure I’ll just go hack this week, enjoy my end of year party on Friday night with my uni mates and simply surf all of next week and not think for one second about any short term plans.

  27. LuLi Says:

Oh you did good huh? Thats awesome. I can’t stand exams, I always rush through them and leave with that first batch of people you just know didn’t read the questions properly. My research thing is going alright, I have to hand it in Friday and I plan to get around to finishing it tomorrow because unfortunately I have to get over to a bbq today.. But I really can’t be bothered.

That sounds like a good plan, the surfing will de-stress you and the drinking will just be fun!

  28. This Devil's Workday Says:

Yeah I skipped today’s BBQ. CANNOT wait until this week is over.

  29. Reuben Says:

Think harder…now now….I’m not that drunk yet.

  30. LuLi Says:

Everyone knows my blog is best read when drunk!

  31. Reuben Says:

    Even Iain Hall?

  32. LuLi Says:

I’ve yet to be aquainted with him, but I’m sure even he would prefer to read it while a little under the influence.. 😀
